INGREDIENTS:
1 Box FUTURELIFE®️ Crunch Granola Bars - Choc Bits
1 Dark chocolate bar
3 Large Eggs, beaten
2 TBSP Sugar
1 tsp Salt
1 Cup Heavy/whipping cream
1 Cup Milk
1 Cup Butter
METHOD:
Tart Base:
- Preheat oven to 180°C and lightly grease a tart pan.
- Crush all the bars from the box until you get a powder-like consistency with the choc bits in it. (Use a high-speed blender if you have one).
- Add the cup of butter and mix in with your hands to form a dough.
- Add the cup of milk to the dough and keep mixing until you get a soft dough.
- Add a thick layer of the dough to the greased tart pan and spread evenly.
- Cover the dough with a sheet of baking paper, then add a cup of rice over the paper to act as a baking weight.
- Bake the base in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, remove the baking paper and rice weights and bake again for 5 more minutes to make the base a little crispier, then remove and set aside to allow the base to cool.
Chocolate Filling:
- In a pan over low heat, add the cup of milk and bring to a simmer.
- Add a chocolate bar and allow to melt, then add the sugar, salt, cream and eggs.
- Keep mixing until the mixture thickens.
- Once thickened you can assemble your tart.
Assemble:
Pour the chocolate filling into the tart base, and spread evenly, then place into refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.
