High Protein Brown Bread

TOMATO PASTA WITH CRUNCHY FUTURELIFE® HIGH PROTEIN BREAD CRUMBS

INGREDIENTS

  • Pasta of choice, cooked and seasoned

Sauce

  • 2 tins whole peeled tomatoes
  • 70g (1 small tin) tomato paste
  • 1 medium brown onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic and herb spice
  • 1 teaspoon dried origanum
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Crumb

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • ¼ cup of favourite FUTURELIFE® HIGH PROTEIN BREAD, crumbed
  • 2 tablespoons of grated parmesan

METHOD

  1. Soften garlic and onion in oil
  2. Add remaining sauce ingredients and allow to simmer over low heat until reduced, season to taste
  3. Heat oil and fry breadcrumbs and cheese on a high heat until golden brown
  4. Serve pasta and sauce and sprinkle the breadcrumbs over
