FUTURELIFE® Smart Bread™ Freezer Friendly Sandwiches

Serves: 1 sandwich per day for a school or work week

Ingredients:

  • 10 slices FUTURELIFE® Smart Bread
  • Savoury spread like Marmite or Bovril
  • Butter
  • 4 slices White cheese
  • Peanutbutter
  • Jam
  • Mustard
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablesoon cinnamon sugar
  • 1 slice cold meat

These ingredients makes 5 different sandwiches that can be frozen and removed from the freezer the morning before school. By break time you will have a delicious sandwiches.
TIP: All of the sandwiches should be placed an air tight container or zip lock bag to keep it from drawing moisture from the freezer.

1. SAVOURY SPREAD AND CHEESE SANDWICH
Take 2 slices of FUTURELIFE® Smart Bread™ spread the one side with your favourite savoury spread and the other slice with butter. Place the 2 slices of cheese on the buttered side. Close the sandwhich, cut it is half and you are done. Serve with yoghurt and a fruit.

2. EGG AND BACON SANDWICH
Fry your bacon in a not-stick pan until crispy. Break 1 large egg in a cup with 1 tablespoon milk. Wisk until combined. Pour the egg mixture into a hot pan as if you will be making an omelette/pancake. Flip when golden on the one side. Cook for 1 minute on the other side. Place on a chopping board and cut a square the size of a slice of bread. Butter both slices of bread. Place the egg square and bacon in between the slices of bread. Close the sandwhich, cut it is half and you are done. Serve with a fruit.

3. PEANUT BUTTER AND JAM SANDWICH
Make sure to spread peanut butter on both slices of bread. If you apply the jam directly onto the bread it will become soggy. Spread the jam on the one peanut buttered side. Close the sandwhich, cut it is half and you are done. Serve with fresh fruit and carrot sticks.

4. COLD MEAT, CHEESE AND MUSTARD SANDWICH
Butter the one slice of bread and spread the mustard on the other slice. Place one slice of ham or cold meat and 2 slices white cheese, in between the 2 slices of bread. Close the sandwich, cut it is half and you are done. Serve with cut up tomato and cucumber salad

5. FRENCH TOAST STICKS
Mix 1 large egg with 2 tablespoons of milk in a shallow bowl. Place the 1 slice of bread into the mixture to absorb some of the egg mixture. Flip it to soak the other side. Repeat with the other slice of bread. Heat a non-stick pan for frying the French toast. Pan-fry for approximately 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Cut up in strips (3 per slice), sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the French toast. Serve with a banana.
